With the exception of some nicely timed Friday scioperi (transit strikes), the Metro in Rome has been relatively – dare I say – functional lately?  Never one to let a good opportunity go to waste, ATAC is shaking things up with a fun, midsummer, Metro A line closure!  That’s right, from August 11-27, the Metro A will not run between Ottaviano and Termini, at any hour, while they do a little “noise reduction” work.  Everyone’s favorite metro replacement bus, the M-A, will be resurrected to help you traverse the distance, but you’re probably just better off walking or taking a normal bus.

Once again:
The Metro A will be closed for two weeks: Saturday, August 11 – Saturday, August 25
