Friday: The Ciao America! film series continues tonight at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni with a screening of Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper’s 1969 directorial debutThe movie starts at 9 and admission is 4 euro, which is a totally reasonable price for an hour and a half of a young Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, and, yes Phil Spector. Also at 9 tonight, the Berlin Philharmonic is playing the first installment of a two-night stint up at the American Academy’s Villa Aurelia. The ensemble will be performing pieces written by fellows of the Academy, as well as a selection of tunes by Dvořák, Prokofiev, Schreker, and von Weber.  Tickets are free, but space is limited, so get there early!
